HOWRAGHAT, Jan 20: The newly formed Karbi People’s Liberation Tigers (KPLT) militant organization has called a 36-hour Karbi Anglong bandh from January 25. The rebel group called the 36-hour Karbi Anglong bandh from January 25 morning 5 am to January 26, 5 pm, Nilip Enghi, publicity in-charge, KPLT informed The Media.
The rebel leader stated that KPLT militant organization will observe the Republic Day as Black Day till the issues of Karbi people are fulfilled.
He further stated that the Indian Government is showing indifferent attitude on the issues of Karbi people and if Karbi people’s issues are not given importance or not solved politically then spate violence will continue in the State, he added. Meanwhile, the KPLT leader urged all Karbi people to be united to attain their demands.
On the other hand, the rebel publicity in-charge, sternly warned to take strong action if any people ignore to observe the called 36-hour Karbi Anglong bandh. Besides, he warned the KAAC, CEM, EMs, MACs and all government concerned not to celebrate the 62nd Republic Day in the district.
