Businessman Killed in Karbi Anglong

Bokajan  23 Feb : A late report of a businessman killed in Karbi Anglong by KPLT (Karbi Peoples’ Liberation Tiger) for ransom has reached us. As per the report available with us, A businessman was shot dead by suspected Karbi Peoples’ Liberation Tiger (KPLT) militants after 10 days of captivity even after a ransom was paid, police said.

The body of Deyram Teron was recovered by police from Maigaon village at around 9 pm on Thursday ( 16 Feb, 2012) .
According to the relatives of the deceased, Teron who was dealing in a business of  coal and sand supply was abducted allegedly by KPLT activists from Silonijan on February 6.

Meanwhile, local traders of Silonijan market downed their shutters for two hours on Friday to protest the brutal killing of the local businessman. The deceased was the owner of hotel Green land situated in the market.

    Foolish act, childish act, coward act…. Killing own blood is no solution to any desires in civilized land. Please don’t repeat such act. I am scared to learn such act. Let Hemphu Mukrang bless the family members of the deceased.
